8.11. Phases

Similar to Teams, Phase is a reserved attribute in vPlanner and its label cannot be modified for consistency across projects or sites.

Phases are intended to identify work phases in a project.   A phase should describe work that is of the same kind and when using takt planning they describe parts of the project that have common sequences of operation. 

Tasks within a phase of work should have minimal logic ties to other phases of work. 

Use the menu buttons to the left panel to create new items or to modify existing ones. 

It is important to set a unique integer number for each item so that vPlanner knows how to sort them in the swimlanes as it is not based on alphabetical sorting.
