8.15. Departments

Departments are root attribute items similar to Teams and Phases.  You can however, modify the label for the department to mean any custom label for the project. 

Use menu buttons to the left panel to Create new items or Modify existing items. 

It is important to set a unique integer number for each item so that vPlanner knows how to sort them in the swimlanes as it is not based on alphabetical sorting.
